Our Mission
CIT's mission is to provide full support. If you wish, we will register your domain and make sure
it does not expire, or help you register it yourself. We will provide routine support - you
won't get a bill if you need to rephrase a sentence or add a picture to your website. We can
produce and edit video for your website if you wish. We will host your website or arrange to
have it hosted elsewhere and you will get reliable email at your domain if you want it. Basic
SEO optimization for Google is included in all CIT websites and if you want we can actively promote
your website for as many hours per day as you want.
If we are providing business IT design and development, we design your applications,
code them ourselves to build in security and train your employees to use and support them. If
there is a requirements change in a year, the person who coded the original application will probably
update it (This is something you will almost certainly NOT get from most outsourcing, their developer
turnover is horrendous.).
Our Technology
We do not use a content management system (CMS) such as WordPress or Wix for the websites we develop. There
are 2 main reasons:
- It is our opinion that such websites do not perform well in Google or Microsoft searches.& Our
SEO Page explains why.
- We think that the best websites are unique. Such CMS websites all look alike and who wants to
bore potential customers? It is our opinion that most of today's websites look hard and unfriendly.
For software development we use Microsoft Visual Studio and usually ASP.NET. We can also develop
specifically for Windows rather than a browser using WPF. Generally we interface to Microsoft SQL
Server and we can create and support a SQL Server database for you. We can also use PL/SQL to an
Oracle database but we presently cannot fully support such a database, beyond creating tables and stored
procedures.
Services
If you have a website, you will need to promote it until enough people are regularly searching for it and
finding it that Google's "importance rank" grows organically. Depending on your business, this may take
a few months or even more. This promotion is called Search Engine Optimization or SEO.
As you probably know, Ukraine was a poor country with low labor rates. The war has made things worse.
So if you have something that is labor intensive but can be done over the Internet, such as
maintaining an online store, ask us. We may be able to help - and save you a lot of money while
giving much better service than you could get from Asia.
One of the best ways to promote your business is with a video. We can edit and produce your raw
video and put it onto your website or YouTube or Rumble.
The Elephant in the Room
Everyone seems eager to give Ukraine billions of dollars in military aid, but our economy is
decimated. The Fortune 500 crowd bailed on us, leaving literally tens of thousands of experienced
designers, developers and managers without a job. Most of the women, particularly those with
children went to Europe and there they sit, waiting to come home. But with no money and no work
for them, they cannot return. We are not asking for European charity or killing machines, we
need work and the dignity that comes from earning our own way. This is a win-win opportunity for
us and for you. You get our expertise at little more than USA minimum wage, for some services
substantially less than US minimum wage. We get money to pay the rent and feed the kids.
